YOUR REFLECTION QUESTIONS: UNLOCK EVERYTHING YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

I send you reflection worksheets with questions to help you clarify the value you can bring.

I use a career stories approach. I ask you to spend time writing down the stories around how you've come to make an impact in the roles you've held.

No doubt you've done a lot to get where you are today. So this works best if you spend quiet time on this exercise as it helps tease out all your achievements and identify all your key skills and strengths.

You'll also find spending time here to be a big boost to your confidence, as you'll be reminded of all the amazing contributions you've actually made.

ONE ON ONE INTERVIEW: YOU GET AN INJECTION OF CONFIDENCE AND INSPIRATION

We spend 1-1.5 hours in interview. I make sure I understand everything that's important and see if there's anything else we need to include. I'm also actually listening for common themes around your strengths and motivations that become part of your story or your professional brand.

Just so you know, I actually wear 3 hats in this process.

The first hat is me being you.

I put myself in your place and immerse myself in understanding you, your value and your career goals.

The second hat is me being like your totally objective personal marketing mentor.

Think of me like that coach who wants you to bring your best self to the table. I'm that person who challenges you when you're underselling yourself and is honest with you about what might be getting in the way of your success.

The third hat I wear is the headhunter/recruiter hat.

This is where I get a bit more hard-ass. We're working on your sales tools. They need to show how you meet a specific market need.

CREATIVITY AND CONSTRUCTION: I PRODUCE YOUR COMPELLING CAREER COMMUNICATION

I develop a first draft.

This takes between 10 - 14 working days.

Why so long, you might be thinking?

This actually benefits you significantly.

This is not an easy process, as you may well know if you've attempted to write your resume or LinkedIn profile yourself.

To write a compelling piece of work takes a ton of creative energy. And while I usually have creativity to spare, the first draft you see, is not the first draft I have written.

I deliberately take rest breaks for a creativity boost as this helps me view the messaging with fresh eyes, to find things I am missing and interesting angles to present. I spend much time refining and re-refining the messaging so this can have the biggest possible impact - and this minimises the time you need to spend reviewing the document.

Most recruiters spend less than 10 seconds reading a resume.

A great writer harnesses the power of the written word and creates a layout where people are drawn to read the most important information about you.

Not everyone can do this, and that's why you're here with me. I need to keep refining so your words have the biggest impact in the most succinct way possible.
